About IROC

Our learning network started in 2016 on a mission to partner with patients with a kidney transplant and their families to improve health, longevity, and quality of life.

We collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, clinicians, and researchers from the most advanced pediatric healthcare organizations in the United States to rapidly solve difficult problems and improve health outcomes by: sharing data, implementing quality improvement methods, designing and disseminating innovative research, and creating new standards of care.

Our Priorities

IROC has focused on addressing elements of its “Optimal Outcome” framework, a composite metric of clinical health measures. Currently, IROC is dedicated to three specific priorities:

  1. Increasing appropriate blood pressure measurement and control

  2. Reducing acute allograft rejection

  3. Improving quality of life for patients and caregivers
